Hull Strawberries with a Flick of the Wrist
April 8th, 2008 | By KendraNeed to do some quick hulling? Well, it’s not quite strawberry season, but when it gets here, you’ll want this tip – trust me!
Here you go:
- Get out your can opener
- Shove the pointy end into the strawberry
- Flick your wrist
- Off pops the strawberry top
And there you have it! That’ll speed you through hulling strawberries like nobody’s business. For more kitchen tips, check out Tammy’s Recipes !

That is a great tip. We will be growing strawberries in our garden this year, hopefully I will have a huge crop and I will need this tip!

Cool! Our strawberry plants already have a few little berries, but I don’t think I have that kind of can opener! Maybe I can get one as a freebie sometime.

This is a great idea — my husband hates when I hull strawberries by cutting the tops off. He says I waste half the berry. I’m going to give this a try!
