Keeping Milk Fresh Longer

Apr-29-2008 By Kendra

Okay, maybe everybody knows this trick already. But, for those of you who might not know, if you add a pinch of salt to a gallon of milk it will make it last longer. Something about the salt preserves the milk from spoiling as quickly. Just a handy little tip ;) (Of coarse, around here milk doesn’t last long enough to spoil!)

This is a great tip, milk doesn’t last long around here either, but for some people who only buy a half gallon of milk at a time, they might be able to buy a gallon and save money.

Fabulous tip! I’d never heard of that! The kids’ milk goes quickly around here, but mine sometimes goes sour before I finish it.
