Since I’ve noticed that many of you are fellow scrapbookers, I thought it might be fun for me to share some of my scrapbook page layouts with you. Now, I’m not a scrapping expert by any means. I don’t get very intricate, and I don’t like to over decorate. My style is the frugal way; more about the pictures and not so much about the embellishments (though I do use them). I adore scrapbooking because it gives me a creative and beautiful way to display memories of my children’s special moments in a way that photo albums just can’t compare with. I do it as a gift to my babies. To me, it is an expression of my love for them. So, occasionally I will be posting some of my pages, and hopefully I will give you some creative inspiration for your own book.

Simplify It.
What I like about this page is it’s simplicity, not in design, but in creation. What I mean is, there are no embellishments, no stickers, no brads or ribbons, yet it is still colorful and interesting to look at. All I used was my photos and some paper. I wrote some letters out onto yellow paper, and cut them into squares. Nothing fancy, but still a very nice way to display pictures.
Here’s a tip: Don’t feel like you have to spend a fortune on each page you design. Simplicity is sometimes even more beautiful than adornment.

I’ve been doing digital scrapbooking lately and have posted several layouts on my blog. It’s way fun and cost isn’t an issue!

I really like it! I am trying to become simpler about my scrapbooking now, too. I used to be all about the embellishments but now I try to save them for special pages.
