You don’t have to have a long clothes line to be able to hang dry a lot of clothes. Here’s a lesson from the Chinese: to conserve space, they hang shirts, blouses, and dresses on clothes hangers before putting them on the line. They also clip socks and washcloths to the lower edge of other things.

I used to do that when I was still in the Philippines because my mom refused to buy dryer and washing machine. Most people do that there anyway so it wasn’t odd. Here in America, I only hang clothes that will shrink like my hubby’s work clothes and the rest goes to the dryer. I like the dryer coz it makes my work easier but of course, I know it would cost to do it. Oh well…

Genius! It seems like such an easy idea and yet I struggle with fitting everything on the line. Not anymore! Thanks

Now why on earth didn’t I think of that? Especially for button-down shirts! Great idea!

After my husband (who is Filipino descent) and I were married he introduced me to this way of drying items on a clothesline. It’s worked out great for me because now I no longer need to iron his shirts!

I do the shirts and such on hangers, but I never thought about hanging things UNDER other stuff. You should see my clothesline today with about a million cloth diapers, washcloths, and socks, all hanging one from another! The neighbors are probably getting a good laugh from it, but who cares? If it works, it means I can hang another load or two out before running out of clothesline.
