About Us
Thanks for visiting Handprints on the Wall! You’re probably wondering what we’re all about…
HPOTW is written by Kendra and "Sashwhy", two sisters who are both 20-something SAHM’s. We love finding good deals (though we allow an occasional splurge!), keeping our homes somewhat organized, being a blessing to our husbands, creating positive learning atmospheres for our children and training them in fear and admonition the Lord. And above all, seeking to love and serve our Lord and King as His humble servants the best we can.
We like to keep our posts short and simple (most of the time :)) so that you can pop in and out at your convenience to find new freebies and money saving ideas, tips on homemaking, mothering, marriage and encouragement in your walk with the Lord.
So, take a look around (esp. the "Topics" page) and if you have any suggestions or would just like say "hey", please feel free to drop us a line !
Kendra

Well, a little about me…
I’m a young mother of two adorable children, whom I cherish with all that I am. I’m married to a wonderful man, passionate for ministering to youth. We’ve been married since ‘00, and it gets better and better with each passing year! Before we had children I was a preschool teacher. I taught for over 7 years. When my daughter came along I decided I wanted to give her the very best possible, so I began my dream of being a stay-at-home mom. I have been a homemaker for almost 4 years now, and cherishing every fleeting minute. It takes many financial and personal sacrifices, but it is eternally worth it!!
What I plan to bring to this blog is my passion for education, and my obsession for saving money in any way possible. I hope to be a blessing and a favorite resource for other mothers searching for some great ideas.
Sashwhy
If you couldn’t already guess, my name really isn’t Sashwhy - it’s actually the nickname Ken gave to me when we were kids! So…about me…I am Kendra’s younger sister. I’ve been married for almost two years to an incredible man who is a constant role model and example for me to follow. He is training to be in the ministry, and I am thrilled to be his helpmate in his calling. We have an 11 month old son (last updated 6/08) who I just get a kick out of every single day and whom I can’t wait to share the Truth of my incredible Savior with as he grows older.
I’m also pretty much "green" (not in the "crunchy" sort of green, though I can be a little of that, too, sometimes) as far as being a wife, mother and homemaker and feel like I’ve got a learning curve the size of Mount Everest to conquer in these arenas. Over the past, oh, 16-20 months I’ve been reading books, watching other women and trying to assimilate all of this new information into my poor little brain. I’ll be posting pretty much anything and everything that I’ve discovered in hopes that it is a help and blessing to other women. I’m also looking forward to hearing and learning from you, so please feel free to drop off a load of wisdom every now and then!
